Mikkel Fode is a senior Consultant at the Department of Urology, Copenhagen University Hospital, herlev and Gentofte Hospital and a Clinical Professor in at the University of Copenhagen. His research spans broadly within the field of Urology and he has authored more than 200 publications. The main focus has been on male sexual health, male infertility and lower urinary dysfunction. Major research contributions have included studies on the management of erectile dysfunction, outcomes of surgical intervention for prostate cancer, and the impact of cell therapy on male sexual dysfunction. In addition to his clinical work research, Professor Fode has a strong focus on medical education, and he is involved in developing clinical guidelines. Further he serves in several important functions including as president of the European Society for Sexual Medicine, associate editor of European Urology, board member of the European School of urology, and head of the Danish Andrology Group under the Danish Urological Association.
