Tim Bjørn Dyrby is a Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and a Senior Researcher at the Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance, Amager and Hvidovre Hospital. His research focuses on neuroimaging and advanced diffusion MRI techniques, with particular emphasis on tractography and axonal integrity.

His work contributes to a deeper understanding of the structure and dynamics of white matter in neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis. Among other contributions, Tim Bjørn Dyrby has been involved in the development of tools such as the White Matter Generator, which supports advanced analyses of brain microstructure. He also conducts research on age-related changes in auditory processing using BOLD-fMRI, as well as on the relationship between serum biomarkers and microstructural brain injury.

By combining advanced imaging, data science, and clinical research, his work contributes to the development of more precise methods for the diagnosis, monitoring, and understanding of neurological diseases.
