Charlotte Vermehren is Head of Clinical Pharmacy at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital and Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Research.
In addition, she is a Visiting Researcher at Social and Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Copenhagen. Her areas of expertise include clinical pharmacy, polypharmacy, and rational pharmacotherapy.

Her research focuses on optimizing medication use, addressing polypharmacy, and advancing patient-centred pharmaceutical care. She has contributed to research on medication reviews in primary care, pharmacogenetics, and deprescribing strategies, with a particular focus on older adults living in nursing homes and patients with dementia.

In addition, her work includes research into biomarkers for personalized medicine and the promotion of evidence-based medicine use in paediatrics through therapeutic committees. She is also actively engaged in advancing clinical pharmacy practice through the organization of workshops and conferences aimed at fostering knowledge sharing, professional development, and the implementation of new evidence into clinical practice.
