Mikkel Fode is a Chief Physician at the Department of Urology, Herlev and Gentofte Hospital and Clinical Professor at the University of Copenhagen. His research spans a wide range of topics within urology, and he has authored more than 200 scientific publications.

His primary research interests include male sexual health, male infertility, and lower urinary tract dysfunction. Among his most significant contributions are studies on the treatment of erectile dysfunction, outcomes following surgical treatment for prostate cancer, and the effects of cell therapy on male sexual dysfunction.

In addition to his clinical research activities, Professor Fode is strongly engaged in medical education and actively involved in the development of clinical guidelines. He also holds several prominent international and national leadership positions, including President of the European Society for Sexual Medicine, Associate Editor of European Urology, Board Member of the European School of Urology, and Chair of the Danish Andrology Group under the Danish Urological Association.
