About Allan Larsen: Allan Larsen is a Professor at DTU, specializing in Operations and Supply Chain Management. He is also Deputy Head of Division and leads the Operations and Supply Chain Management Section. Prof. Larsen’s research focuses on applying advanced operations methodologies, including mathematical programming, meta-heuristics, and simulation, to address complex planning challenges. His key areas of interest include freight transport, city logistics, healthcare supply chains, public transport optimization, and dynamic scheduling of resources such as crews and fleets. Larsen’s extensive collaboration with industry, particularly in freight transport and logistics, has been instrumental in bridging research with practical applications. He has also co-directed the Transport DTU research center and co-chaired the Transport Innovation Network of Denmark. His work aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, contributing to advancements in sustainable transport and logistics systems.

DTU Management conducts research at the intersection of management, technology, and economics to develop solutions that enhance welfare, productivity, and sustainability. The department focuses on the role of technology and its interaction with industry and society.

The key research areas encompass behavioral and climate economics, energy policy, environmental psychology, machine learning, and supply chain management, with a particular focus on a wide range of industrial and service sectors, including manufacturing, services, transportation, and healthcare. Additional areas of interest include operations research, organizational studies, and transport systems.
