Composition of the evaluation committee

Associate professor positions:

  • The committee must consist of 3 or 5 members, of whom 2 (or 3) must not be employed at DTU. For the positions:
    • Assistant professor/associate professor: the majority of members must be associate professors or professors
    • Researcher/senior researcher: the majority of members may (but are not required to) be senior researchers
  • The proposal must be gender balanced.
  • The proposal must include a DTU-employed chair (an emeritus may not serve as chair).
  • The proposal must have a majority of external members—at least one employed abroad (this is a requirement for members from industry).
  • Members of the committee must be experts in the field of the position and be at least at associate professor/senior researcher level. The committee as a whole must be capable of assessing both research and teaching.
  • Members must not have co-authored publications with any applicants within the last 5 years.
    The department director must confirm they have addressed conflicts of interest, which is especially important where there is a close collegial relationship (including joint publications), private relationship, or mentoring relationship.
  • A CV and publication list must be submitted for all members.

Professor positions:

  • The committee must consist of 3 or 5 members at professor level, of whom 2 (or 3) must not be employed at DTU. Both genders must be represented.
  • The proposal must include a DTU-employed chair (a professor emeritus may not serve as chair).
  • The proposal must have an international dimension - two evaluators employed abroad.
  • The proposal must have a majority of external members with international-level research experience, documented through publications in internationally recognised journals.
  • Members must be experts in the area of the position.
  • Members must not have co-authored publications with any applicants within the last 5 years.
  • A CV and publication list must be submitted for all members.
