Here you can find the relevant agreements and documents required for research and innovation projects within TUH.

Projects and agreements under TUH

When a project is established under TUH, a collaboration agreement and a data processing agreement must be concluded.

The types of agreement primarily used are listed below.

Important: If there are plans to exchange confidential information before a project is formalised through the signing of agreements, a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) must be signed between the Region and DTU.

The employee at the Region is responsible for initiating the agreement process.

The process

  1. Set-up: Once you have agreed to formalise the project, the Region’s staff member enters the project details into ‘Privacy’.
  2. Review by the legal teams: Once all details have been entered into ‘Privacy’, the agreement process is automatically forwarded to the legal teams at the Region and at DTU. If the legal teams require further information, you will be contacted.
  3. Signing of agreements: The final version of the agreements, approved by the legal teams, is signed. Only authorised signatories at the Region and at DTU may sign the agreements.
  4. Project commencement: Once the agreements have been signed, you may commence the project.

Confidentiality Agreement

The confidentiality agreement can be used when it is necessary to agree that confidential information about a proposed or upcoming collaboration is not disclosed during preliminary discussions.

Collaboration Agreement

If you collaborate on a research or innovation project, you must use the collaboration agreement, which regulates, among other things, rights and should reflect the division of work in the specific research or innovation project.

Co-ownership Agreement

If your collaboration results in inventions or new technologies, it is necessary that ownership and the process for, among other things, patenting and commercialisation are defined in a co-ownership agreement.

Data Protection Agreements

When you send or exchange data, you may need a data processing agreement. This agreement is used when one party processes data on behalf of and under instruction from the other party.

When you have jointly decided the purpose and resources of the research project, you will often need an agreement on joint data responsibility.

For clinical (project) supervisors

If you are a clinical project supervisor or supervisor and are supervising DTU students on a clinical internship or observation programme at a hospital clinic, an agreement on ethical conduct must be completed. The template for this can be found here.
